you, we at LOW DOWN SOUND are musicians. We have been searching
for more reasonable priced equipment with that certain look and
sound that would meet our specs. Whether we wanted a bass cabinet
with that valued vintage look but the sound of now, or equipment
with a unique look and bottom sound, it seems we just couldn't find
exactly what we wanted. So we went to work ourselves and designed
our own. Then we found others with the same love for that certain
sound, looking for that something special that would still fit their
budget. And that's how LOW DOWN SOUND was born...
And our small, homegrown company would like to meet your specs too.
We'll design your equipment/bass cabinet and give you those special
features and materials you've been looking for, and we'll keep the
costs lower than those of the larger, more commercially orientated
manufacturers. And because we're small, we're able to exercise the
highest quality control.
If you can dream up a cabinet, let's talk; we can design and build
most anything for you. We''' recover your vintage amp, custom design
for you a new box or monitor, and reload our speakers. In short,
you name it; we'll do it.
LOW DOWN SOUND uses the most current computer programs to configure
the exact size of your new cabinet, and we know what type of wood,
ply, and cone etc., is needed for your sound needs, and we can always
offer you upgrades on most components. We configure for accurate
frequency response and power handling, and are able to load your
cabinet with speakers from prominent manufacturers, such as Celestion,
Eminence, E-V, Goldwood, JBL, Jensen, and more.
We can meet your aesthetic needs as well, and tailor your cab to
your specs, whether you want it retro-fitted with that vintage look,
want modern carpet, special corners for stacking, or special handles.
And, we like to recycle! So we lovingly repair, strip and sand older
pieces and restore their precious vintage looks, then load them
with modern speakers to meet your current power demands.
Our shop also designs monitors, main speaker systems, recovers amps
and builds extension speaker cabinets, and not only for bassists
but also for guitarists. Whatever music you play, let us design
your gear, especially if you want "the look of then and the
sound of now." If you're interested in what our company can
do, call us anytime; your look, tone and final price are our goal.
Sincerely,
Don
